Bachar Barak’s men managed to recover after a horrendous kick off to their title defense quest in the top flight of Israeli football.

The Kazakhs have also changed their manager in this qualifying term as the Russian coach Aleksandr Borodyuk took charge in June this year.

However, he could not do much to prevent convincing losses to Montenegro and Poland in September.

Shkendija won easily vs Moldovan side Dacia in the last round 3-0 at home and 0-4 away. Local conditions here should be very tough for HJK with temperatures of 30c come kick off time.


HJK beat Welsh side Connah's Quay but managed to lose in Wales 1-0, a very bad result for them. Generally Finnish football domestically and internationally seems to be at a very low level at the moment and I expect them to really struggle here vs strong hosts who also have local conditions on their side.

However, Monaco’s scoring form coming into this match is excellent. Before Saturday’s defeat, they scored 20 goals in 7 matches. And they are also the highest scoring team in Ligue 1 with 87 goals to their name in 30 matches so far. For Jardim, this is an important fixture to guide the team to winning ways to bring back some confidence as the Ligue 1 title race is on a crucial side.

Lille had somewhat steadied their ship after going through a difficult phase at the start of the season. At one point, they were close to the relegation zone, but a series of positive results pushed them up to 13th in the league table. Sonderjyske didn’t manage to get the victory at home over Esbjerg in the previous round two weeks ago even though they were favorites to claim all three points. However, they were better during the game and looked like scoring, but stood behind in the scoreline in 64th minute with a goal from Paulsen. From the moment they got behind in the scoreline, the team looked way better and found equalizer three minutes later thanks to Uhre, continuing to attack, but without changing the scoreline even though they were better than the opponents.

Their start of the season is quite tragic for now, since the team still aims for their first victory of the season, having four draws and three defeats for now. Logically, they are in the relegation zone, being two points above today’s opponents, above rock bottom placed side. Victory is their only target today and anything but the three pointer would be another huge blow for their targets this season.

Their manager Mikkelsen is having no injury nor suspension worry ahead of this match and will be able to send his best starting eleven in a game where they need to win so badly.


Silkeborg had a decent performance two weeks ago when the team visited Randers, but still stood defeated with a narrow 1:0 result. They looked passive during the first halftime and conceded a goal in 36th minute via Kallesoe, trying to react later on, but with obvious limited quality in attack, even though they had some chances.

After first seven rounds, it’s obvious that Silkeborg is one of the worst teams in the league, having suffered five defeats and managing to get only two draws in that time. They are at the bottom of the table and also aiming a positive result today, since the team needs to do something here in order to hope for more brighter future. They improved their morale a bit with a 9:0 victory over amateur side Aabyhoj few days after their defeat against Randers.

Their coach Sorensen won’t be able to count at first choice goalkeeper Thomas Norgaard (5/0), as well as striker Jeppe Okkels (2/0), both out due injury.

    Silkeborg have failed to win their last 19 matches (Superliga).

With two victories and three draws, they are now only seventh, four points below leading Waregem. The team made big signings in last days of the transfer window, but the players will be introduced slowly to the first team for sure.

Home side continue to miss left full back Obradovic who didn’t play in the season yet, as well as defender Appiah (3/0), midfielders Najar (no performance also) and Dendoncker (5/0), but also forward Kawaya (no playing minute in the season also). They should be playing in 4-2-3-1 formation this time out, with Teodorczyk (4/3) at the top of attack.


Charleroi showed two faces against Eupen at home two weeks before, as the team took comfortably 3:0 lead within first thirty-five minutes (goals from Willems and two from Pollet), but then paid the price of being to passive in the match and got reduced to 3:2 in 45th with an own goal and in the first minute of the second halftime with a goal from Onyekuru.

Eupen continued pushing for the equalizer, but fortunately for Charleroi it never came. Players of Charleroi are experiencing a great start in the new season, since the team has three victories and two draws, as they were leaders of the table after the previous round has ended. It surely gives them some morale boost, but the team is far away from something impressive in the season.

Charleroi will be playing here without goalkeeper Baume (0/0), defenders Poulain (0/0) and Marinos (0/0), but also midfielder Saglik (4/0) and forward Stevance (0/0). They should be playing in 4-2-3-1 formation with Pollet as central striker for the visiting team.

Visiting side did well so far in the season, but I expect the things to go south for them starting from this match. Anderlecht is much more quality side looking at individuals and after international break and more time for the players to get to know each other, I expect them to start playing more as a team and start climbing up the table.
